So, we have a puppy. We are trying to figure out what to name her. I like the name Molly. A lot. Joe wants to name her Katie. We have also heard of Roxy, Marble, and Dusty. Hmmm, what is your name sweetheart??

A little late, but Ella's birthday was last month. She turned 4. She has grown so much! Here she had some mosquito bites on her pretty little face. Her favorite toy was her Barbie Thumbelina doll, she played and played with it.
We have been having a pretty good summer. We have a nice little library here and visit it often. Also, mom has a pool out back, 12 ft across by 30" tall. I've never cared for a pool before and it is challenging. I want the water to be clear and cool. But this is a summer in Texas and it does green things to the water. I am learning how to keep it, but I still have a ways to go.
I decided I want to stay here for a while, just not with Mom and Dad, I feel like I have imposed long enough and so I am looking for a little place we can call home for a while longer. I feel very good about this decision. I like this little town and hope the kids will grow to appreciate life a little more without all the hustle and bustle of a big city. (what does bustle mean anyway??)
Tonight, Ben and Ella were stalling bedtime again...Ben came in from the fridge (ours is in the garage) and was carrying a bottle of prune juice. (I'll tell you why I have prune juice in a sec) and asked all excited, "Mommy, what is this?" I told him it was prune juice. He asked if he could have some and I said sure. Ella was there are asked for some too. Sooo, I poured each of us a little paper cup 1/2 way full and drank mine. (It was kinda gross full strength, it was really thick **shudder**) Ben smelled his first and then took a sip. He made the kid face when they think they have been poisoned by something 'good for them' and Ella did the same. He then declared he would never "drink that stuff again" and I got a good chuckle.
So, as to why I have prune juice in my fridge...I am experimenting ways to give the kids stuff good for them incognito. I add it to the pancakes. Jacob asked what it was once and I said, "It kinda looks like chocolate, huh?" Well, that got us talking all about chocolate and then I put it back in the fridge and nothing more was said about it. It was an idea my dad gave me and it helps me feel less guilty for all the syrup that goes on the pancakes. And we eat pancakes a lot at our house. Every Sunday and sometimes in between too. I have been using whole wheat flour mixed with non-bleached flour. They are pretty good. But I can only pull it off on my electric griddle. If I try to make them on the stove, I they are either a little uncooked or burnt. I am pretty sure the gig is up though, because Ben tells Jacob everything and I am pretty sure he will put 2 and 2 together. :( I might have to use some real chocolate for a while to throw them off my scent.
